Not a good fit - Sales MidAmerican Energy Employee Review

Pros

The benefits were above average. I was able to work from home. The company did pay for my TWIC card. The base salary was competitive.

Cons

NO training or support. Never ending conference calls. NO air card yet required to be in the field 75% of the time. Being in sales/energy consulting in ERCOT is way different than PJM, NYSO or other area in the nation. We'll planned execution strategies are necessary to penetrate any market but especially one that has been around since deregulation began. The company just really didn't set people up for success.

Pros

There are good people within management position that make it worth coming to work

Cons

The company policies are archaic and unaccommodating to work-life balance. In addition to breaking contracts, if you were hired fully remote they forced everyone back into the office 5 days a week, as well as forcing their H1-B visa employees to move to a different city after years of establishing a life in other states, they are cruel. They do not offer room for personal growth, any instance that involves HR is not transparent and seems purposely meant to display the power relationship of a large corporation over their employees
