Pros

If you're an aspiring CLS (as the majority of my coworkers at the time were), this is a great starting point. As an LSP you really don't need much prior experience; I came in with zero lab experience and they taught me a lot. It looks really great on your resume, pay isn't incredible but I suppose you aren't in the most important position so I was fine with it. Benefits were great, got lots of freebies right off the bat and holidays were wonderful, they really spoiled us sometimes. I didn't have a toxic workplace experience at all, I didn't talk much with my coworkers but they were all very kind and considerate people. If you love socializing or hate socializing, this place is great - it's about 50/50 in the lab. My supervisors seemed like they really cared about me and the leads were all outstanding and super friendly faces.

Cons

The hours are long and days are relatively inflexible unless you plan your vacations way ahead. I didn't hear much about pay raises or promotions while I was there. From what I saw, only a select few individuals got promoted, and it was typically after quite a few years of service to the company. They opened with telling new hires that they "promote from within", but I didn't see myself working there for more than a year so I knew there was no way I would have that opportunity. The work is MONOTONOUS. I seriously can't stress that enough. They tell you before the interview, during the interview, and during onboarding so you really know. And I honestly had no issue with it until around 3 months in. You only work around 3 jobs per day, and rotations are often inconsistent or switched around for convenience (Brad did an excellent job orchestrating everything), so there were some days I'd be sitting at the same job or two jobs for eight hours. They give you the grace of being able to listen to music on one earbud, but it's still incredibly drawn out. At a certain point past the learning curve, it turns from exciting to mind-numbing. You don't learn much of anything past the 3 jobs you do. The job has a high turnover rate I'm guessing because of the monotony. The benefits and such are worth it to stay, but most of the employees are there for experience purposes. Mandatory overtime is a part of the job and honestly was not at all annoying or too long except for holidays, but you do sign on with full knowledge of that.

Pros

Job security is TIGHT. You have to do something really stupid to let go. The turnover rate for the company is overall really high due to people coming in fresh and finding other opportunities elsewhere Your schedule remains pretty consistent unless you start saying you are flexible, then they can/will change it every month. They have an amazing CTS program but Goodluck getting in. They only choose their favorites.

Cons

Other than that, everything sucks. Overworked and underpaid is an UNDERSTATEMENT. Weekly team meetings are a joke because they always ask why are we stressed then proceed to give 3 new things we have to start doing for our processes then get upset when we make mistakes. Favoritism obviously is a big issue anywhere you go but here it’s ridiculous.ive seen too many hard workers go unnoticed because they aren’t buddy buddy with the supervisors. And those that are, get promotions, employees of the month, etc. it’s very disheartening. I can count on one hand the amount of times someone actually earned employee of the month and I’ve been here two years.
