Pros

After working in ABA for over seven years, I’m so thankful to have found my professional home at Mindcolor. I began my career as an RBT in my twenties, often juggling two jobs and long days that started at 6:30 a.m. and ended well into the evening. At Mindcolor, I now have the privilege of recruiting BTs and RBTs into a stable, supportive career — one where they don’t have to worry about inconsistent hours or burnout. It’s refreshing to work for a center-based, client-first organization that truly values work-life balance and trusts its BCBAs to do what’s best for their teams and clients. Mindcolor’s transparency, strong leadership, and genuine care for both staff and families make it an incredible place to grow a career in ABA.

Cons

It’s a busy environment with high standards, so time management is key and leadership communicates changes well.

Pros

The biggest strengths of working at Mindcolor Autism are the supportive team environment, exceptional training opportunities, and the meaningful impact you have on clients' lives every day. Management and supervisors are approachable, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in both employee success and well-being. The company provides comprehensive training that prepares staff for the RBT certification exam while also offering ongoing mentorship from BCBAs through regular overlaps and feedback. The workplace culture is positive and collaborative, with strong relationships among RBTs, supervisors, and leadership. Every day brings new learning opportunities, making the work engaging and helping employees continuously develop their clinical skills. Most importantly, the job provides the unique opportunity to build strong relationships with children and their families while witnessing incredible growth, progress, and life-changing achievements over time, making the work both rewarding and fulfilling.

Cons

One of the more challenging aspects of working at Mindcolor Autism is the unpredictable nature of the job. Because each client is unique and every day can bring different behaviors, challenges, and learning opportunities, the role requires a high level of flexibility, patience, and adaptability. Sessions can be physically and emotionally demanding at times, especially when supporting clients through difficult behaviors or unexpected situations. Additionally, progress can sometimes occur gradually, requiring consistency and perseverance from staff. However, these challenges are also what make the work meaningful, as overcoming obstacles and seeing clients achieve their goals makes the effort worthwhile.
