Pros
You will gain a ton of experience working with large scale research projects. Most of the employees (outside of upper management) are fantastic. The center is under the umbrella of a research university so the benefits are pretty good. This center is a good place to work if you are using it as a jumping off point. You will work long hours and will be undervalued, but you will gain enough experience to make you marketable for another company/organization that is properly managed.
Cons
Upper management is completely disconnected from the needs of the center's employees. There is zero flexibility and no concern for employees' work/life balance. Project management is a joke. Project managers try their best, but they are at the mercy of an over-promising executive director who knows nothing about project development. The center is severely understaffed given the scale of projects that the center (executive director) undertakes.
