Missouri State University Response
12moThank you for taking the time to share your experience. We’re sincerely sorry to hear about the challenges you faced during your time as a graduate assistant. Graduate assistants are both students and employees, and we recognize the importance of providing a supportive, respectful environment that fosters academic, professional, and personal development.
We take concerns about retaliation, unprofessional behavior, and lack of accountability seriously. While we can’t speak to individual personnel matters in a public forum, we are committed to investigating workplace concerns appropriately and ensuring that all employees—especially student workers—feel heard and protected when raising issues in good faith.
Missouri State offers several resources to support students whose concerns may not be resolved at the departmental level. These include the Office of Student Conduct, the Student Grievance Procedure, the Office of Institutional Compliance, and other campus services dedicated to conflict resolution and accountability.
We also appreciate your feedback regarding stipend transparency and payment communication. These are valuable insights and will be shared with the appropriate departments to help guide future improvements.
Thank you again for your contributions to the University and for sharing your perspective.
