Pros
I loved working with the customers, I built an awesome relationship with each of them to make sure they were satisfied with the service and products they were getting from Mitchell1 and myself. Benefits were great. They really don't fire you unless you REALLY do something wrong a few times to get terminated I made a few close friends that I am still in contact with after leaving here.
Cons
Benefits are awesome, that is, once you become FULL TIME. There are a lot of people there that have been working at Mitchell 1 for MANY years and they are not FULL TIME and do not have Benefits which sucks because they do work really hard and are not recognized for it (at times you can get a GEAR AWARD if someone requests one for you, but that's only a ticket to get an award from HR; it's like a kid bringing all their Chuck E. Cheese tickets to get a prize at the counter). The entire building is practically full of "Clicky people" if you are not in the "Cool crowd", then you are not one of them. It's high school all over again (it's like that movie Mean Girls) and it doesn't matter how old they are (21-58 yrs old) people talk behind another's back and smile to their face; its disgusting. And the ones that talk a lot get promoted or recognized even when its brought up to management. On another note....they pile all this work on you and add more to your job description without a pay increase, they set standards every other month to where no one can accomplish them all in one day, they don't allow over time, LOTS of micro managing and people get scolded for the smallest things and never get praised for all the good things they do to keep the customers happy (again only if a Gear Award is requested, is when you get a "high five"). Rules change all the time depending on how the manager is feeling that day. If you are 1 minute late, you are an hour late. you get scolded for 1 MINUTE when the system that reports the times is not the same clock that is on your work computer...even though you log in on the dot, doesn't mean the reporting system reports it like so...doesn't even matter if you are talking to the manager/ walking by the office saying good morning and they see what time you arrived...you will get scolded and at times written up...i mean what if you have a long drive and all of a sudden you have to use the bathroom??? you mean i can't log in and then use the bathroom real quick??? Personal issues get taken out on the employees/ the less favorites of the team/ dept) and makes it a very hostile situation. So if you like kissing a lot of ugly butts, this is the job for you! But keep in mind that If you are a great worker and you are offered another job opportunity, they will not fight to keep you there; no matter how many years you have been working there.
