Pros
- Strong focus on professional development by leadership and fast headcount growth mean that employees can learn and grow into more responsibility exceptionally quickly. - Business is booming so morale is great and the product is expanding (and still has tons of room to grow). - Borderlessness and agency: engineers join Success for customer on-sites to hear what customers are saying and talk to Sales to hear what prospects are saying. Engineers are encouraged to use their technical insight and what they learn through these experiences to come up with and build off-roadmap features. - Leadership celebrates the right things, eg the exceeding of revenue targets and employee accomplishments (big deals, big feature releases, etc.) rather than fundraising or product mentions in articles/books.
Cons
- Some nascent processes are a bit rocky while they are being built out. - Product development grew far ahead of sales and marketing in the company's early days. Bringing these areas online for the company's next phase of growth will potentially be a challenge.
