Pros

Written and electronic protocols. Able to do required training from home and get paid when it is verified to be completed. Hope of an eMAR/TAR in the near future (but it hasn’t happened yet)

Cons

I’m concerned for my RN license working here since Monarch acquisition of a formerly family-owned nursing home. Reasons: * Extremely short-staffed which makes it is close to impossible to get basic nursing tasks done much less patient advocating when there is an extra need. * * * Nurses routinely paired with TMAs, or sometimes a nurse has to handle the whole floor medication pass and treatments themselves. At times there is no nurse at all. * Really good longterm employees are leaving. * Micromanaging! We thought we had input at first. We’re asked for input but then executive management does their own thing anyway. (BTW it appears to me that the 5 star reviews are fake/inflated. None of the 5 star reviews really say much. But their star rating brings up the overall star rating.)

Pros

With career considerations, there are no pros to this facility.

Cons

The management staff ruins companies like this. However, the upper-level management's only concern is quantity, not quality. Patients suffer the most. This is a high-risk environment for a licensed nurse.
