Pros
* Leadership is rock solid * MongoDB is rapidly gaining market share and developer mindset * The product roadmap is exciting with lots of great learning opportunities * Smart people work here
Cons
The biggest issue is that MongoDB is they are no longer a startup. In fact they are a very mature company compared to what they were even 5 years ago. Pains with this now can be seen in slow moving internal processes and having to deal with the "multiple chefs in the ktichen" problem e.g. so many people are now involved in making decisions and have opinions on features/functionality that things move really slow. That said it isn't unique to MongoDB, I would think most companies of this size (over 5,000 employees) have these issues.
