Pros

Talented and friendly team members Chance to work on products that will be used (potentially) by millions Pre-existing infrastructure giving you a chance to see how some complex issues have been solved Global reach

Cons

Lack of tasks meant that my final 6 months at the company resulted in a lot of my time being spent trying to find something to do Very much a case of style over substance, it was mainly about how well you spoke about what you were doing rather than how well you were actually doing Focused heavily on server-side to point where app-side felt almost like a side project rather than the primary driver of user-interaction Below average pay

Pros

We have a strong roadmap to future proof our company. We are looking to partner with various technical giants this year and next which will support our vision. Great people, lots of talent

Cons

Need to publicly communicate our vision so that our shareholders are well informed and excited about our future.

Pros

Very good vacation policy. 6 hours accrued per pay period starting day one plus about 12-13 company paid holidays a year. Nice office in San Francisco. Free snacks. Good IT department. Very smart and hard working coworkers. Decent pay.

Cons

Company seems to have fallen as quickly as it was growing initially. Major disconnect between management and staff. The lack of news from management regarding the direction of the company created an environment of uncertainty. With the large number of layoffs, the company started experiencing a large number of voluntary departures as remaining employees found other opportunities. There was a major disconnect between the UK and the US offices. Cultural and management styles were vastly different making it hard for teams to get things done with different objectives and constantly changing priorities.
