Colleagues who work hard in spite of conditions

Cons

Full time professors work 6 exhausting classes fall and spring with approximately 30 students per class Forced to work summer semester - 6 classes as well - three semesters! (trimesters) No salary increase, no appreciation, poor medical plan Management expects us to plan emergencies, illness, weddings, bereavements and graduations during break Supervisors resent when faculty takes a day off - we are intimidated to not use entitled days off

There are few amazing students.

Cons

Management is downright toxic. They thrive on pitting employees against each other and crushing any spark of innovation. If you dare to suggest an idea, you’re treated like a nuisance instead of valued. Salaries are insultingly low, yet they expect you to grind away endless hours as if your life belongs to them. The leadership is selfish, greedy, and completely indifferent to rewarding or recognizing the people who actually keep the place running.
