Pros
Friendly office, good benefits, relaxing atmosphere for the most part.
Cons
Having worked only on the east coast with the Stone Edge application that recently parted ways from Monsoon, I can only say that there is too much distance in understanding from the management team and the products it oversees. Sales is directly managed by these management teams which poorly understand the product, leaving implementation to regularly handle the sales process. There had been little care from higher up to acknowledge the product itself, it's capabilities as well as it's direction. The products direction seemed to come from cliff notes, rather than an in depth understanding. Soon after coming on to the SE team, there were some layoffs. Though over the next year or two, things did seem to be improving. We had a new CEO, new hires, a full office working towards a new product, repeated promises of bonuses and constant reassurance that we were the main focus moving forward..... all which never fully materialized, and were replaced with more, massive, layoffs. While there had been little trust in the management team up until this point, everything had been lost due to what occurred. It was only then that management seemed to really step back and take a look at the software it managed, though seemed to be just enough to sell SE...even then, I am unsure how someone was able to sell a software that was so poorly understood.
