Pros

I enjoy going to work. Moog's values are embedded in the culture and behaviors of the employees. This makes work an enjoyable experience. Teamwork thrives because people genuinely want to work with each other to accomplish the objectives.

Cons

Part of what makes Moog great is that employees are encouraged to take ownership and implement innovative solutions. This is facilitated partially by lack of clear definition and/or standard work for business processes. Simply put, there is more ambiguity within Moog than many other companies. This is not all bad, but it can be difficult to get used to for those coming from a highly structured environment.

The company has a bit of a startup-like vibe, and still feels established. They’re pretty open to letting younger engineers take on real responsibility , which makes it a good place to grow. From what I’ve seen in all-hands meetings, the senior leadership also seems to genuinely care about employees—you can kind of tell they’re paying attention and trying to take care of the team.

Cons

There’s nothing perfect, enjoy the time when you get in.

Although Moog promotes an unlimited PTO policy and emphasizes work-life balance, the actual execution is highly inconsistent and depends heavily on management. Some managers are supportive, while others induce guilt, leading to a culture where employees either underutilize their time or feel uncertain about expectations. Furthermore, compensation lags behind the market average, and internal career growth feels stagnant rather than actively supported.
