Chronic understaffing and lack of resources create constant burnout. Promotions are rare, and strong performance goes unrewarded. Despite making over $2 billion a year, the firm does not provide consistent bonuses or fair raises. At the annual partner meeting, leadership openly admitted that the business development team is intentionally paid about 23% below market, with team members who help plan and run the meeting in the room. The only real “recognition” is more work without a title or pay increase. Professional staff are penalized for not coming into the office three times a week, even though senior staff rarely do.
