IT department has some big issues - Senior Software Engineer Morningstar Employee Review

Thank you for your feedback. Have you been an interviewer? We rely heavily on technologists to ensure we're making the best hiring decisions. Each interview team is comprised of 2-3 technologists in addition to others who interview candidates for cultural fit. Candidates are hired based on the team's recommendation. Interview teams are usually rotated on a quarterly basis. We look at candidates from many angles, and if we don't hire a candidate, it's because the team recommended against it. Discussions from my own skip-level meetings and results from recent internal sentiment surveys do not suggest that our current technology leadership is the worst in Morningstar history. That said, we are not perfect and are always looking for ways to improve. If you are not being heard by your immediate manager, the door is open for you to speak to others without fear of retribution. As I've said before, if you are in a senior position (like your title suggests), it's very important for you to contribute to the changes you want to see. You have invested more than 8 years of your career in Morningstar. There must be a reason you stay. What do you think you could do to help?
