Pros
The work life balance is incredible. The entire company is on the same page when it comes to respecting the fact that work should be a high priority and responsibility, but not our first priority. There is also a lot of respect for setting up times to speak with people from other parts of the company, in terms of networking and applying for new roles in the company.
Cons
Though it is easy to set up times to speak with others, the hiring structure in most areas of the company is non-sensical. It is very tough to get a promotion, as most moves are cross-lateral due to better positions being filled by tenured, and as a result, sometimes lazy individuals who mostly try to avoid their responsibilities. In addition, the pay structure is terrible. I find it almost passive aggressive, in that even the head of HR will avoid discussing the pay structure by saying that "she isn't sure what we heard but it doesn't work [that] way". This will bite the company's talent in the long term.
