      Pros

      The main pros of my job are due to the actual hospital. I like certain areas I cover. My previous coworkers were really nice. The area is nice and hospital is nice. The diet manual is a good resource.

      Cons

      We have been short staffed for years. Management seems like they don't care and wants to save money by have less people do more and more work. Work load is VERY HEAVY and management doesn't seem to care about employees getting burnt out. Salary is good but should be more with all their expectations. Some employees are mean and rude. Some workers are nice and pleasant while some have bad attitudes.

      Pros

      flexible schedule. unlimited PTO. never a shortage of work. if you work for a unit with a good manager, that's all you need,

      Cons

      the flexible schedule is also a con. they call you at 6 am and 11 pm about things that can absolutely wait. the unlimited PTO is also a con, they do this so they don't have to pay you out when you leave or remove you, they also don't really let you take off as much time as you want. upper management, the VPs and DPs are nightmares. terrible people that are totally disconnected from the mission and the "corporate culture." they push acceptance at the unit level, and then upper leadership doesn't listen to it at all. The VPS and presidents like to take the CEO out drinking and they all love to party.
