Pros
There is a lot of encouragement to advance even from the interview. Management can be helpful when it comes to getting to a higher position if your willing to put in the work. The environment is more casual than most as well.
Cons
If and when you do decide that you want to advance, it might be difficult to hold the attention of certain managers and have them take you seriously if you are not consistently reminding them of your desire to advance. You almost have to stay on them and sometimes it might seem that your working a little too hard for them to take you seriously.
