I left due to the project executive’s self-serving behavior and discriminatory treatment - Senior Project Manager Mortenson Employee Review

Pros

Projects are challenging and some team members help you along the way I got to work on a large hospital project!

Cons

The one particular project executive has constantly reshaped the narrative to serve their own interests, promoting a version of events that benefits them. There is evident bias between team members who unquestioningly follow directions and those who speak up against questionable practices. Be cautious and don’t get drawn into this dynamic.

Pros

- Huge company with a lot of resources. - Cool projects.

Cons

- Pay is not great especially for the amount of hours they want you to put in. - They do not pay for experience. So, it’s a good place to start, but if you have experience, go somewhere else. - They hire and promote way too quickly which means inexperienced people are in charge. - If you work in the field, you will be putting in 50-60 hours a week often and they justify it by saying you get subsistence. Do the math, you’re not getting paid very well at those hours even with subsistence. Also subsistence is a benefit for traveling, not justification for overusing employees. - While a lot of the people are good, it is a very political atmosphere.
