Pros
Pay - It was a miracle having been forcefully shuffled around between three different contract houses (due to the client) that Mphasis was the first one that made the transition seamless. I didn't have to argue or prove what my title or responsibilities were to justify what I was already making. No nonsense reimbursement for cell phone. Fairly easy to expense / a nice (but only) fringe benefit.
Cons
SPAM - my inbox is littered with tons of junk emails. I'm not talking about external sources either this is internally! One word "thirsty" I'm spammed with emails begging for referrals non stop. Worthless emails regarding maintenance and outages for systems I don't even use and probably aren't even in my country! Health benefits well below the average. One plan, take it or leave it. $12,000+ out of pocket family deductibles for EVERYTHING!!! This includes prescriptions and even wellness visits. Basically the insurance covers NOTHING until you meet the deductibles. It's practically worthless. LIED to regarding PTO - during my transition I was promised one thing and found out later when trying to take PTO I had NONE. Tried to negotiate more and that went nowhere. EVERYTHING is offshore - don't expect to speak with anyone state side for help on anything. No room to grow if you're in the upper spectrum of your skill set / pay scale. I'm fairly confident I'm one of the highest paid employees Mphasis has ever taken on. Not to say it isn't justified considering my 20+ years of experience and service record. My situation may be non standard having been moved from one contract house here, but to my knowledge there is no review process and I have no expectations of additional compensation.
