Pros

The initial “self paced” training was online and easy. I got paid, not a lot, but still got paid. Legit nothing more.

Cons

I want to be clear on how working for Mphasis is. You do a month long online training and watch videos and takes quizzes on the videos and then a final test. Once you pass, you then just wait until they find you a “client” to work for. Could be any random company who has a contract with Mphasis. Mphasis pays you but you could work legit at any company. Where do I begin on the the cons: -The pay is so low below the entry level average it’s disgusting. If you have a family you won’t be able to support them. -The initial online training is so pointless and nothing applied to the actual job since you could get placed with any client. -my placement with the client was so so bad. There was zero formal training. They just gave me a laptop and told me to do some tasks over a teams direct message. If I had issues, which I did since no one showed me anything, they wouldn’t respond for hours with the answer to my question. -After the day was over at 5pm, my manager would message me all night long to do more tasks. Then, I would have a 10:30 pm meeting with the India team every single day. So, I would work all day, manager would message me all night long, then have to do a teams meeting with the India team because there is a 12 hour difference. Keep in mind, the stuff my manager wanted to me to could have been accomplished during the day but he decided he wanted me to do it after hours. I have teams messages to prove this wild claim. - The person who was “supposed” to train me was working his current position at the same time and never responded to me nor was available for any real training days. Only chat messages over teams. -My trainer told me the person before me whom I got that position from quit after a month bc he was confused and lost. I honestly can see why with my manager and that trainer being in charge. - I put my notice in on email and HR did not even reply back or ask any details on why and if they could have helped in any way. Completely no response. - Be weary if you can’t comprehend a heavy heavy Indian accent since most employees are Indian since this is a India based company. I often had to put on the transcripts while in meetings and read what they were saying. - My manger at times laughed in my face if I made a silly error despite no one actually showing my the ropes . - When I quit, my manager called me essentially to complain that the $40,000 starting salary is good enough for entry level software engineer. I told him to google the national average and how rude he was once again. - Overall, this job so so terrible compared to me new one. It’s still entry level but the pay is $30,000 more per year and everyone is kind and I have an actually trainer to guide and show me what to do.

Pros

Exposure to enterprise-scale clients, modern cloud technologies, and opportunities to work on complex data and AI initiatives. Colleagues were generally professional and technically capable.

Cons

Employees supporting client engagements may encounter challenges when company-issued equipment, access, and operational processes are not clearly aligned. This can create unnecessary friction and delays.
