Pros
Union representation Friendly co-workers Free parking that is close
Cons
-Too many admins with high salaries making decisions for people that work at the bedside and they have no idea how it will affect the bedside workers job -Poor pay for RNs with many years of experience- can’t afford to live in this area for what they pay here -Expensive benefits and you pay a lot if you have a procedure done here, unlike U of M where all you see is a co-pay -there are no dedicated staffing ratios for nurse:patient making things unsafe most of the time. -used to be magnet certified but they lost this unfortunately and it shows -it’s all about bottom dollar, I don’t know that anyone higher up truly cares about the outcomes of the patients. They say they do but they never advocate for more staff or more techs to help.
