Pros
Great store/district managers. Very kind, professional, and fun to work with.
Cons
I've been an Assistant Store Manager for quite some time. At first the company was great. But then my store's payroll hours started being cut. Now they've been cut down to the extent that there's only one individual in the store for long periods. Personally, I often work 8+hrs straight by myself with no breaks. And almost the entire time I'm running the register. As Assistant Manager, I should have a cashier on hand so that I can attend to my management duties. When there's a shift change, I might have 30-45 minutes with someone else in the store ( that's if I'm lucky). I've been in retail for going on 20 years ( I know how it's supposed to be). I've heard similar complaints such as mine being said about other store's too. Murphy's as a company is currently one if the most poorly run retail companies that I have ever been involved with ( and I've worked with quite a few as associate, team leader, manager, merchandiser, and vender). Maybe someday Murphy's will fix things. But as of right now it is pushing away it's employees and managers.
