Pros
Much like everyone who has shared here, your coworkers are great. You get access to art supplies and can utilize the studio space for personal work outside of class hours.
Cons
Upper management is a clique. They do not care about the artists that actually make them money and teach the classes. Communication with them, when they even feel like giving you the time of day, is usually passive aggressive and unhelpful. Many of us have not gotten a pay raise despite working there for years. While they have increased the prices for the classes, food, and beverages by astronomical amounts, none of the artists that TEACH those classes, MAKE the food, and POUR the beverages have seen a dime of it. Muse makes it so they can cram as many customers into the building as they can without much consideration for accessible seating and customer comfortability. We see the brunt of that frustration, and despite customers mentioning it in their survey responses, there has not been a single change made. Muse prefers making money over supporting the bottom line. If you choose to work here, be prepared to plan for work months in advance. It is hard to take weekends off if you're understaffed, so make sure to know if you're going out to dinner on a Saturday in March by early December so you can even get a chance to get that day off. If classes get canceled, you do not get compensated at all. They will change the schedule and not tell you, and add you to private parties without asking first. They do not respect your time, but assume that you will go out of your way to accommodate them. You only get paid 25 bucks to paint a master copy for a class, and expect you to make it off the clock. They sell them for 45 dollars.
