Pros
I met some pretty incredible musicians working for this company and learned a lot during my time there. I loved my manager and most of the teachers who worked there. Seeing kids after finally nailing that song they had been working on for months was truly a moving experience for me.
Cons
I worked there for 2 months short of 2 years and never once got a raise based off not hitting sales goals my first 3 months in training.. despite hitting every sales goal after training. Customers would scream at you and bully you over anything. While my manager always had my back, he often got push back from the upper level rendering him helpless in most situations. People who never set foot in the stores are the ones who seem to call all of the shots as far as day to day functioning. I watched my manager get worked into the ground trying to have the staff's back. The managers are stripped of the power to truly run the store leading to things such as several days going by before getting responses on tasks as simple as teacher pricing. There is never any guarantee something is in stock on order entry despite the numbers saying so.. Dax is a joke. Ive never worked in a place where the systems often takes 5 mins to load if not more. I wanted to stick with this company, but their unwillingness to listen to their employees ultimately drove me away. I often used the tools "provided" to voice my concerns such as the suggestion box.. but never saw any change.
