Pros
The only reason I stayed at this company so long was because I loved my peers. The customers aren't too bad either. I was in school while I worked here, so I never moved up, but a lot of my other peers would move up to management pretty quickly. Upper management is also not too bad. When I worked there the pay wasn't great, but it's good for a part time position in college.
Cons
Work life balance isn't great. You typically work with a small team at the stores, so you have to make sure to ask for your time off way in advance. I left because I was working too much and really needed to focus on school more, and they wouldn't cut my hours like I asked. I also left because I got written up for "letting" someone steal a saxophone, when I was a 19 year old female left alone in the store. So apparently money is more important than their employees, especially considering I couldn't fight the man off... My direct supervisor didn't want to write me up, but the CEO forced him to write me up. And that was the last straw for me. Honestly, no one should be left alone in any retail store that sells merchandise worth $10k, especially if the instruments are not locked in a safe...
