Pros
I feel appreciated in my role as a PCT. The direction of my day is most generally guided by the patients and the staff I work with. Most of them are pretty decent. Being on the Behavioral Health Unit, it can be a different kind of busy every day.
Cons
Just as in any job anywhere, there will always be "slackers." Once the patients and staff know who they(slackers) are, requests for help seems to be directed towards the rest of us, because they know we actually care. And there is WAY TO MUCH personal phone usage with all staff members. Some will pay more attention to their phone than the patients. That is what annoys me.
