      Pros

      NASA is an prestigious company. It has a great research campus and it feels great to go to work every day. There are guest speakers every wednesday. There is also a gym and beach volleyball courts.

      Cons

      The time scale for a lot of projects is very long: 10-15 years, so there is no sense of urgency. The pay is not the best, there is a very low salary ceiling.

      Incredible WLB, impactful work, sense of pride when talking about what you do.

      Cons

      Have to work with legacy codebases often (like Fortran).

      They tend to have managers who were engineers. And, "we're going to the freakin Moon!"
