Pros

Like a lot of people have said good people to work with

Cons

Management is condescending. They will make you feel like you aren't doing your job right regardless of what you do. At the same time when you ask for anything to do your job correctly (training, help, materials, etc) they will sit on it for months and months and never give you the help you requested. Even to the point of claiming you never made the request in the first place. Other times they will give you something other than what you need and claim that it is what you asked for. Because of the lack of training it is very hard to have any upward advancement. You are given little to no support and then asked to move mountains. If you look at a lot of the positive reviews they mostly come from the Portland office. If you are planning on working at one of the other offices be plan on being treated like a second class employee. Upper management talks about having a "say it" culture if there is an issue but they never listen to anything anyone says. There are multiple complaints that have been made on this site and in the semi-annual engagement survey that have never been changed or even addressed. Pay is still terrible when compared to similar jobs in the area but we are still told that are pay is competitive. Management is still abusive when people have repeatedly complained about it. The only people that they pay attention to is themselves. If the people in Portland don't like something it will be changed. Otherwise be prepared to deal with it until you are lucky enough to leave the company. CEO has seen no apparent issues with anything going on in the company. He feels that everything is fine. Like i said above, if the people in Portland don't see anything wrong it won't be fixed. And they never see anything wrong because they do whatever they want. He has mentioned in meetings that people who complain on this site (or other similar sites) don't reflect what he sees. Even though a lot of what is being said here is a lot of what people are saying to him and in company wide surveys. He is a nice guy, but it's hard to be supportive of him when as a CEO he continues to ignore what his employees are telling him.

Dear NAVEX Global Team Member, You are right - our team is listening and your experience is definitely not what we aspire people to have! Here are some details that you may or may not be aware of that I wanted to share with you: 1. Our team has acknowledged, given the number of acquisitions NAVEX GLobal has managed, that we have some pay gaps to close as our goal is to pay competitively. In response to this goal, we have established competitive pay ranges in partnership with Radford (external compensation firm) and implemented a quarterly compensation reviews of our top talent. We are not where we want to be as we can't right size everyone overnight, but we are making significant progress and will continue to prioritize this goal. Without understanding more about the information you were provided, I wanted to ensure you were aware of this action. 2. You are also right that we have incredible people!! NAVEX Global, like any organization, has seen some great people move on to new opportunities. While our rate of turn did slow in 2017 compared to prior years and our ratings for "intent to stay" as captured in our engagement survey increased, we will always work hard to retain people. This is one of the reasons we established a team of Culture Ambassadors that have in turn made two presentations to our executive team about their ideas to strengthen our culture. Our NAVEX Next program that you may have heard about is one example of their ideas being put into motion. (If you're not familiar with this program, please let me know!) 3. As you are aware, we conduct engagement surveys twice per year and today we kick off our first survey for 2018. This tool is only one instrument we use to gauge our progress and the experience people have. As our CEO has shared in both Town Halls and his CEO updates, we are not a perfect place and we will always listen to what is and is not working for people, and be honest about what we can and cannot change. As much as I personally wish we could make changes happen over night, we do have to be fiscally responsible while advancing our efforts. Thus far, feedback from our engagement survey does suggest we are heading in the right direction and at the same time, we do recognize that some team members, like you, may not share this same perspective - this is why we will not stop trying to create the best possible place for each and every person. Thank you for your candor. I hope you know how much your willingness to share does matter. Best, Cindy Raz VP, HR & OD
