Pros

Telework at least 1 day every week, used to be 2 days per week. Telework is the same amount of days whether you have an 8hr/day, 9hr/day or 10hr/day shift. Overtime and comp time available, especially during 4th quarter. Flexible schedule. Plenty of free parking. Work is not too difficult, as long as you apply yourself and learn what you can. Training encouraged. No micro-management. Only gets super busy during 4th quarter.

Cons

Dislike of promoting from within from upper management when gets to the GS-13 position and higher. Much turnover as a result of not promoting current employees. GS-13s come from the outside in, which thus takes awhile for them to get adjusted/warranted. Must wait several years after becoming a GS-12 to get promoted, even if proven to be a great worker.

Pros

Won’t fire anyone, know how much you’re going to make.

Cons

Bad raises. Job growth is very uncommon. Management is incompetent from top to bottom. Not enough people and too much work. Nepotism is rampant in this organization. Unqualified people are promoted. Career bad apples are left without being fired or disciplined. First level managers are useless. They at too much red tape to do the most basic things. Upper levels are arrogant and hard headed.hiring has been frozen for a year yet somehow the ‘bud club’ is promoting people constantly who are in their ‘inner circle’. Hiring actions are super sketchy, names are dropped for specific people to be hired etc. It’s crazy
