- Generally stable positions - Ability to leave work at the door (somewhat manager dependent) - Decent travel opportunities for travel + assignments

Cons

- Extremely bureaucratic processes can be extremely frustrating, having to wait 6-8 weeks for simple funding requests means simple items can hold up projects. - Many of the trainings offered are not great, either online trainings you click through or Zoom trainings offered by contractors looking to stretch out what could be a day long class into a week. - Government contracting rules means there may be a smaller pool of contractors to work with - Fairly flat organization (unless you're at a large base) means advancement can be slow

Won’t fire anyone, know how much you’re going to make.

Cons

Bad raises. Job growth is very uncommon. Management is incompetent from top to bottom. Not enough people and too much work. Nepotism is rampant in this organization. Unqualified people are promoted. Career bad apples are left without being fired or disciplined. First level managers are useless. They at too much red tape to do the most basic things. Upper levels are arrogant and hard headed.hiring has been frozen for a year yet somehow the ‘bud club’ is promoting people constantly who are in their ‘inner circle’. Hiring actions are super sketchy, names are dropped for specific people to be hired etc. It’s crazy
