Pros

Brand name. Vanity/fun as an NBA fan. Good benefits, healthcare, pension plan, etc. Free game tickets, free NBA merchandise. Good work/life balance if you know your drill and don't touch anything beyond your scope of responsibilities.

Cons

The fun dies after the second year when you are repeating the same things and pretending to be still excited about them. No long-term vision. People keep chasing numbers of the current season. No willingness to invest in NBA fans or care about partners' interests if there is no immediate financial return. The better you work, the more you work. Other people will be sipping coffee/tea and slipping away with little to do all day and earning more than you do. Complex organization. People protect their territories like crazy and veto new ideas to hide the fact that they are incapable of making things happen. Lots of internal politics among senior management. Slow promotion. Rigid hiring plan - if someone leaves the replacement HAS to be the exact level, leaving little opportunity to current employees. Too many senior staff, some without any subordinates. Lack of motivation for junior/mid-level staff. They look like zombies in meetings.
