Pros

Learned a lot of hands on experience. You have to be willing to drop everything else going on in your life and dedicate yourself 100 per cent. Working for SNL is an experience I would never forget. It's highly competitive and to get in looks great on your resume. They are very strict, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, considering the many celebrities that come in and out of the studio. Very fast paced environment but don't mess up!!! Pay close attention to everything!

Cons

The pay is terrible. You are doing grunt work but you cannot live off of the pay. Also, the atmosphere is very cliquish. The rotation of interns is very high so they tend to treat you as such. Because of this, there isn't really the ability to "move up." Interns are simply, unfortunately, just interns.

Pros

Lots of opportunities to learn anything within the company. They encourage employees to move around internally rather than to leave.

Cons

Unclear growth and promotion path

Pros

My manager didn't care about vacation time, if work wasn't stacking up. 4 free tickets to Universal Studios.

Cons

Crappy laptop to do development on. Have to have that same crappy laptop for 5 years, sadness. Irritating quarterly meetings, latest is they only want you to leave on the last day whereas before you could at least leave the next morning.
