Pros

There are no pros in this company.

Cons

This company works people to the brim in unsanitary environments. Employees are not treated as human beings and are told that they are not obliged to breaks throughout the day. The pay is honestly not good considering how much work they make you do.

NORY Response

Hi there! Thank you for your feedback. We are so sorry to hear about the disappointing experience. All NORY teachers are required to take an uninterrupted lunch break. If you had a different experience, we encourage you to reach out to us with the camp location so it may be further discussed. It is important for us to make sure every campsite implements this lunch break protocol. In regards to a sanitary environment, all our summer camp venues are top-tier school facilities that deep clean the entire facility daily. If any camp venue felt unsanitary or unsafe, please share the information with management. We will take action immediately. We would greatly appreciate it if you can further share specific ways for us to improve our work environment with management. We will continue to work with our teachers to create a rewarding and meaningful work experience. We truly believe that happy teachers make happy campers. We would greatly appreciate it if you can further share specific ways for us to improve our work environment with our management. We will continue to work with our teachers to create a rewarding and meaningful work environment.

Pros

I’ve worked at a few different camps, and NORY is by far the best run. The curriculum is genuinely fun to teach. It focuses on stem building, so you never feel like you're just babysitting. You get to lead real, hands-on engineering and robotics projects that the kids are excited about. I also love the culture here. teachers and kids celebrate "awesome mistaeks" and value empathy. They actually care. those values creates a real positive environment.

Cons

To be completely real you are expected to bring 100% positive energy to the camp every day. it's not a camp whre you can be on your phone and chill (i have been many of those). Also because it's so hands-on, things move fast. You have to be quick and savvy with tinkering.
