Pros

Easy to get hired if you're willing to sacrifice your networking contact list and you love sales, including going door-to-door to small businesses with unsolicited drop-ins (which is highly embarrassing for an experienced CFO or CPA). Technically, you just need to know QuickBooks bookkeeping, which will be the majority of your work, after sales calls.

Cons

Most CPAs will quit after 6-12 months once they realize Now CFO is a chop shop peddling mostly QuickBooks bookkeeping and not fractional CFO services. You're expected to focus on sales and to find your own work, so you're much better off seeking your own clients and servicing them yourself as a CPA sole practitioner. Emphasis is on sales, not client service, which adds to client dissatisfaction and turnover. The Founder/Chairman is volatile and would lash out in anger in any given meeting or call if unrealistic sales targets weren't met.

Great management, support and processes. The team support is amazing. Everyone is kind, respectful and super helpful.

Cons

Commute can be a pain but they recently allowed corporate employees a hybrid schedule which was a cultural game changer.
