Pros

Recruiting process was smooth. Pay was at about the industry average.

Cons

I came to NTT after having spent 7 years on another government contract. I only survived 5 months before moving on. Your experience is going to depend on the contract and client you work for. I had a nonexistent PM—I Interacted with him on my first day when he escorted me to get my badge, and on my last day, when he came to pick up my badge and escort me out of the building. I know he sat on site with me in a different building, but I NEVER interacted with him. He never stopped by to check on how things were going. I called and left voicemails a few times with questions; he never called back. Some of the worst health benefits I've seen. If you are on any prescription medication, stay far away from this place. For some perspective, I pay $20/month at my new employer for a three-month supply of my medication. At NTT, it was over $800 for a ONE-MONTH supply. I know very little about the company culture because during my time there we had one meeting, a phone conference, and all I remember is the PM stating numerous times that there would no raises. Not exactly a great motivator.

Pros

I have worked with NTT DATA as a government IT and project management consultant since 2018, starting with Cognosante before the acquisition. My experience has been very positive. I have had the autonomy to focus on the success of my team and my client, while also having the support of a large, high-performing organization. There are real opportunities for growth, strong training resources, and leaders who genuinely care about employees, clients, and the communities they serve. I have also been promoted during my time here, which reflects the company’s commitment to recognizing and developing talent.

Cons

As with many large organizations, processes and systems and can sometimes take time to navigate, especially during periods of growth or transition. Continued focus on communication and simplifying internal processes would make the employee experience even stronger.

Pros

The company is rising the ranks as they are combining all of their internal business teams and processes as well as they are capable of.

Cons

You are a number. The family dedication of 'doing whatever it takes to get the job done' is gone, as new management has come in and made everything a calculation. They have slashed every US job they can, and if you're in the EU and your role can be sent to India, you are next. If your individual math doesn't add up for longer than 2 weeks, you'll be on your way out. If you are on vacation, you are also questioned about that math not adding up. Just added a bench process to get everyone infighting for roles they aren't appropriate for and dragging out their personal needs. A select few are exempt, even though the bench process isn't fully working or completely understood. Reporting structures are all in flux and everyone is 3 months into the year without identified goals or team reporting set for the year.
