Pros

After over 5 years the work is easy and customer is fine. If you are mediocre at best and just want a job this may be the place for you. Just do not expect to advance you career or be enriched. Benefits were so poor that they got a lot better when Dell Services was bought so not bad now. People do not bother you much. Often you spend 2 hours in traffic and no one in the office even speaks to you. No dynamic collaboration going on here. People like to protect specific account areas so they have work. No cross training because people do not want anyone else to know 'their' work.

Cons

One, two, three Indian guys do not care a bit about you. You are a number and now matter what you do expect an average rating and no raise. People leaving after 10-20 years are not even counter offered. The entire account is dying and acting defeated. Management does not even care about programmers. They absolutely have no clue. I received an offer for more than 30% increase. Not being able to take your phone into the work area is just stupid. You can't do great at your job and expect anything in return.

Pros

I have worked with NTT DATA as a government IT and project management consultant since 2018, starting with Cognosante before the acquisition. My experience has been very positive. I have had the autonomy to focus on the success of my team and my client, while also having the support of a large, high-performing organization. There are real opportunities for growth, strong training resources, and leaders who genuinely care about employees, clients, and the communities they serve. I have also been promoted during my time here, which reflects the company’s commitment to recognizing and developing talent.

Cons

As with many large organizations, processes and systems and can sometimes take time to navigate, especially during periods of growth or transition. Continued focus on communication and simplifying internal processes would make the employee experience even stronger.

Pros

- Strong global presence allows for diverse projects, clients, and opportunities - Enabled and encouraged to learn new technologies, use tools, and grow skills - Generally supportive teams and cross collaboration - Great work-life balance in many roles

Cons

- Compensation and raises can be slow, infrequency, and below market - Personal Development review process can be unclear and slow - Processes and decision making around them can feel very outdated, there seems to be a lack of structure and clarity around many HR and business operations areas - Very little employee recognition - Critical benefits information isn’t distributed well and there is zero follow up actions to ensure we have all important access/accounts set up
