Pros

Decent starting salary and amount of vacation time is nice.

Cons

CEO out of touch with employees. Everything is numbers driven. Year after year we have record years. However, if we don't meet the demands of the shareholders everyone outside of upper management suffers. Its capitalism at its finest. Good luck trying to get a decent raise, the paltry 1%-2% annual raise is mandated by board members. Paul Saville was kind enough to give himself a 16% raise in 2018. I guess thats where the new corporate tax rate went...

Pros

The Charleston Division is an incredible group of professionals. NVR/Ryan Homes might be a large home builder, but here, you will feel like you are part of a family. The training is the best I've ever experienced. You will be supported in every way, as long as you are communicative and transparent with management. In turn, you will be expected to show up, conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times, and work hard. Your training will prepare you for success, and you will need to use what you learned. It works! You get one weekend off each month, which I never had with other builders. Sadly, I had to leave due to a move, and a position was not open in my new area so I could transfer.

Cons

Pros

Good commission structure with early payouts, qualify hoe, solid benefits, and a professional sales environment. Training and system were well organized.

Cons

Lead volume was inconsistent and often too light to generate a sustainable income. Pricing and market positioning made it difficult to compete in my area, resulting in fewer opportunities than expected. Success depended heavily on market conditions and traffic.
