Pros

Owner is ethical and truly cares about the employees. Good insurance benefits: the company asks the employees for input on what is important to them. The company just expanded their office and they are ready to grow. NW Technology is an important business for the local economy and provides great jobs for the students of BTC and WWU.

Cons

The help desk can have a high turn over. I'm not sure if it is boring or if people just become frustrated with having to ask the same questions. Not everyone is suited to customer service. However, if you start at the help desk and do a good job and show a willingness to learn, I have seen people move up into engineering positions.

Pros

One of the best things about working at NWTS is the customers. Our customers understand the value we bring and treat us as partners. This allows us to implement rock solid solutions utilizing the latest technologies. because of the wide range of customers we get to work with many different technologies. Another great thing about NWTS is that we are given everything we need to perform the job in the way of tools, software, and support.

Cons

In an ever changing technology landscape communication can be difficult at time.

Pros

You will have the opportunity to learn so much and touch so much. A large variety of clients. As someone starting out in the industry, you are drinking from a fire hose. If you are someone with a really strong motivation to learn, and tough skin you may do pretty well

Cons

PTO is terrible. First year you only get the bare minimum required by law. If you can make it through your first year there on that low time off, you reach farther than most techs last. The workload is heavy the longer you stick around. May get the opportunity to do projects, but you still have tickets to keep up on and then you get thrown another project by management with little to no communication on standards. It's exhausting, keeps you on the line with hope, and wears you out over time.
