Pros
You get a lot of experience because there aren’t enough engineers to adequately staff everything, so the result is you are spread thinly across everything. Great to learn, impossible to sustain.
Cons
Pay is less than competitors. Work life balance- you will get called on weekends, holidays, and pto. Work culture is cliquish with those who have worked there since it first opened and then everyone else. Poor management and direction - if you meet the top metrics for the quarter, best reward you can hope for is a provided lunch from food trucks. They already don’t hire enough people as is, then they instituted a new referral bonus program where you’d get more money if they were a woman or a minority - I don’t care about the optics of who you’re hiring, just hire enough people! Clearly don’t have priorities straight.
