For the ladies: In this industry, you'll work with men for the most part, & may have to deal with a lack of professionalism. When I first started, there were many more perks than there are now. But the perks were always aimed towards the salaried employees. If you're hourly, you tend to get the short end of the stick....& that really affected the moral around the office among the hourly's. Many hourly employees feel unappreciated because no matter how hard we worked & improved our numbers, (upper) management remained completely oblivious & didn't seem to notice how hard we worked.
