Enjoyable work and good people but very disorganized and low pay - Field Scientist National Ecological Observatory Network Employee Review

There were constant worries about the project getting shut down from budget cuts, government shut downs, upper management restructuring... but somehow they always managed to keep it together and keep paying us. There is a lot of disorganization, but if you can just focus on your job and laugh off the chaos at HQ then its not too bad. Everyone was underpaid for their experience level, but the work wasn't hard so I'd say I was paid appropriately. Promotions were not easy to come by but it could be done with enough effort and a willingness to move locations.
