Pros

There are some very knowledgeable people in the company; the opportunity to network outside of the organization; and, the first day of life after NGIC

Cons

Bullying by management; collusion between HR and some managers to eradicate employees who perform their work well but do not worship upper management (or any other human being); unmerited arrogance by management much of whom have no formal insurance training or designations; willingness to "dress down" employees in front of and on the open floor in an attempt to impress other managers with their "strength to do the job" while humiliating employees in front of their colleagues (hmmm, isn't it a basic rule of work place professionalism to have meetings about work performance in private???); disingenuous attempts to address morale by mandating divisional meetings to " address all matters in the open, once and for all". What or who decided all of the employees are too stupid to recognize the frequent visits and close relationship between some HR personnel and managers? Why is upper management more concerned with being right versus being correct? Why would any worthwhile company make derogatory comments about another viable company? Though Walmart ( often referred to by management as "hiring" so the dissatisfied employee can find work there) has certainly had its fair share of class action lawsuits due to the same issues at root at NGIC. Is that a suggestion that employees ban together and file lawsuits? What an excellent idea!! A great place to begin is a thorough examination of terminations and resignations over the past 18 months. Cull the email system to address the lies by upper management that they were unaware that employees were working hours for which they have not been paid. How about an investigation into the lack of confidentiality in HR? It seems the Walmart reference isn't a bad one after all...for the employees, as NGIC has the very same issues of unfair labor practices, EEOC violations, hiring and promotion discrepancies, and the employees prevailed. By the way, most of the people who've left NGIC, are working for professional companies with professional people, better benefits, better quality of life and an opportunity to move ahead professionally.

- Benefits - Management - work environment - flexibility - upward mobility

Cons

Metrics can be very difficult to achieve and there is not much grace. Promotions and raises will be effected by your metrics. Low starting salary.
