Pros

Hard work and getting results are recognized globally. Flexible timings No micro management Open culture.

Cons

In no particular order: Extremely uneven distribution of work load. Mediocre pay and almost no benefits.(Specific to R&D Bangalore). No cafeteria. Pathetic food on campus (Specific to R&D Bangalore). Constantly changing strategies. Management pretends to be lending an ear to your problems, but they hardly ever try to resolve them. (Specific to R&D Bangalore).

Teams were let go after they were purchased. I'm not sure how it is now.

Smart and supportive co-workers who are willing to help and share knowledge. Exposure to full product development cycle. Generally positive company culture.

Cons

Career advancement can be slow, with limited opportunities for promotion or lateral movement in some orgs. Compensation growth tends to fall behind. Several org changes following Emerson acquisition.
