Pros

The level of autonomy and flexibility is nice.

Cons

Sad to see how the company has a corporate speech that doesn't match with the reality. During one quarter they do layoff and the next one they are promoting a lot of VPS to C-level, or manager to Director. While others are stuck on their careers because management doesn't want to sacrifice the stability. Always rewarding those who show off even when they don't know what there are doing, and keeping good engineers and managers stuck on their careers because they are the safe harbor that delivers and keeps the lights on, while upper management does the fancy speech.

Great place to work, wonderful environment and people.

Teams were let go after they were purchased. I'm not sure how it is now.

Career advancement can be slow, with limited opportunities for promotion or lateral movement in some orgs. Compensation growth tends to fall behind. Several org changes following Emerson acquisition.
