Is this your company?

Stay away from the Technical Sales Department at all costs! You've been warned. - Technical Sales Representative National Instruments Employee Review

Pros

Challenging product line to learn, good on the job training, good stepping stone to other places, outside of this company.

Cons

Salary was pathetic, whatever you do, do not get suckered into the technical sales department. Although I learned some valuable skills, the good-buddy, butt kisser system is in full effect in this group. Do not expect to advance unless someone dies or moves on. Managers are always breathing down your neck, and do not care about you, unless you kiss their butt, or are their buddy. Expect to get stabbed in the back by many of your peers, and managers who will not go to bat for you when needed. Don't believe all the "best company to work for" hype. Very likely that these reviews for this award did not come from folks in the technical sales or customer services groups. These poor folks are crapped on and shafted everyday.

Great place to work, wonderful environment and people.

Teams were let go after they were purchased. I'm not sure how it is now.
