Pros

Great training opportunities for those who come straight from college, and those coming in with experience. Management cares and provides plenty of opportunities for career development. The company has been in the list of Fortune's list of best 100 companies to work for for 15 years (1999-2014). Great culture, smart, friendly, easy going employees. Stable company with no major layoffs ever. Great work/life balance.

Cons

Compensation was falling behind as compared to other similar companies for similar types of jobs. Employee engagement was also falling behind. As a result the attrition rate in 2014 was higher than normal. This was also the first year NI did not get on the list of best 100 companies to work for (2015). Management took all this to heart, and really made big changes. Focus areas - compensation packages, employee engagement, employee satisfaction, career development opportunities.
