Pros

There's remote work, and my peers are friendly.

Cons

NU is completely unorganized and needs to decide if it wants to be a corporation or a school. There are CONSTANT changes to processes and expectations, but there is very little to no training or communication done to get EVERYONE on the same page. This leaves us frequently arguing with each other because the real information is obscure. Leadership asks for feedback from employees but then argues with the feedback or polices the tone in which the feedback was given. I start my days with tons of energy, but it drains away as soon as I clock in. This used to be a fun place to work. Now it's just another crap job.

Pros

The University has taken tangible and meaningful steps toward fulfilling its mission in an increasingly thoughtful and responsible way. There is a genuine commitment among leaders to collaborate more effectively and work together in support of shared goals. The 403(b) match is an outstanding benefit, and the PTO/sick leave offerings are equally strong and greatly appreciated.

Cons

One ongoing challenge is the imbalance between the volume of work and the number of people available to support it. Teams are highly committed, but workloads can at times exceed current staffing capacity.
