Pros

Make high quality valuable products you can get great discounts on, clear work instructions and opportunities to ask questions, teamwork atmosphere in department was great, clean facilities, tasks to advance were laid out clearly, company is in a great financial position, benefits package is decent, onsite Nurse, many company paid lunches, production bonus.

Cons

HR lies in interviews when asked if they promote from within. They will even put blanket bans on hiring current employees for more desirable shifts. Lack of advancement. They would punish employees severely for things beyond their control happening outside of work, including suspensions and firings while the team was short handed and demand was high. There was a high rate of lifting injuries which they were trying to address with putting people together in teams and buying more equipment, but backtracked on more people helping to lift because of short staffing. Off shifts don't count on using any of the more unique benefits like massages or exercise classes because they never schedule anything near those shift changes. Production Supervisors seem like they are run ragged with meetings external to their shift times.

Pros

Great work-life balance Great small perks Beautiful office with walking trail Great onsite amenities, including a Nurse Practitioner, Chiropractor, and Counselor. Great opportunities for cross-functional collaboration.

Cons

Management on this team was the primary issue. There was a clear and consistent pattern of favoritism, selective accountability, and uneven expectations. Certain employees were closely scrutinized and coached to an excessive degree, while others were allowed significantly more flexibility. This created an environment that felt targeted, discouraging, and, at times, isolating. Despite receiving recognition for strong performance, I experienced heightened monitoring and criticism that did not feel aligned with my actual contributions. The inconsistency in how expectations were applied made it difficult to succeed, as the standard often seemed to shift depending on the individual rather than the work itself. Turnover on this team was extremely high, and from my experience, it was not due to the role but rather the management approach. Multiple employees either left or were managed out within a relatively short period of time, which speaks to a larger pattern rather than isolated situations. There were also repeated instances where leadership made comments about team dynamics and preferences that felt unprofessional and exclusionary. At times, the environment felt less like a workplace and more like a clique, which undermined collaboration and created unnecessary tension. Overall, the role itself had strong potential, but the leadership style and team culture ultimately made it difficult to feel supported, valued, or set up for long-term success.
