Pros

1. Certain managers are supportive, professional, and great to work with. 2. The company offers opportunities to work on meaningful projects and collaborate with talented colleagues. 3. Solid benefits package.

Cons

1. Reporting structures lack clarity. Priorities can shift due to competing requests from different leaders. 2. Indirect leaders can have significant influence over annual performance evaluations, even when they have limited visibility into an employee's day to day work. 3. Administrative and operational work is sometimes shifted to technical staff based on the assumption that they can handle it more efficiently, reducing time available for strategic work and professional development. 4. Management effectiveness varies across teams. Some managers could benefit from additional leadership training and clearer operational support, and accountability for recurring issues is not always consistent.
